    Kaizen Approach is currently seeking a System Engineer (SE) to apply systems engineering principles across the full system life cycle. In this role, you’ll interact with government stakeholders, program personnel, and senior executives to address technical considerations and resolve issues. You’ll ensure the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work across various process areas, including requirements analysis, risk management, integration, and validation. This position involves overseeing project planning, configuration management, and lifecycle model management while ensuring compliance with ISO/IEC 15288 standards. You’ll also support acquisition and supply processes, collaborating across teams to drive efficient system development and operation. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are highly advantageous.

    Requirements:

    + Must have the ability to perform systems engineering activities and develop and deliver work products across all ISO/IEC 15288 Project, Technical, Agreement, and Enterprise Process Areas.

    + Must be capable of independently analyzing technical designs, recommending alternatives, and evaluating engineering standards and processes for project implementation.

    + Must possess the ability to lead and supervise contractor systems engineering activities, including overseeing project engineering staff and technicians while ensuring the delivery of work products across multiple ISO/IEC 15288 Process Areas.

    + Must have the ability to assist in developing innovative approaches to technical or engineering challenges and conduct evaluations to determine suitability for project implementation.

    + Must be capable of independently making engineering decisions, resolving technical issues using advanced technology, and serving as a Subject Matter Expert in one or more ISO/IEC 15288 Process Areas.

    + Must possess the ability to brief stakeholders and present status updates on all technical aspects of a project, ensuring clarity and alignment with enterprise priorities.

    + Must be capable of planning and developing complex engineering projects that impact high-priority enterprise capabilities, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and methodologies.

    + Must have twenty years of systems engineering experience. Candidates with a master’s or PhD in a qualified engineering field or related discipline require eighteen years of experience, while those with only a high school diploma (or GED) must have twenty-four years of general systems engineering experience.

    + Must have a bachelor’s degree in a qualified engineering field or related discipline from an accredited college or university, or a high school diploma (or GED) with twenty-four years of systems engineering experience. A master’s or PhD in a qualified engineering field or related discipline satisfies the degree requirement with eighteen years of experience.

    + Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.

     

    Salary Range: A variety of factors can impact the final salary offered, including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant work experience, specialized skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
