    Responsibilities

    Manages and directs the activities of the Sterile Processing Department/Perioperative Reprocessing for the purpose of providing sterile and non-sterile supplies, equipment, and service for the care and treatment of patients, utilizing knowledge of aseptic techniques and body mechanics. Adherence to all regulatory requirements is a critical competency both for infection control and staff safety.

    Compensation range for this role is $75,518.-$90,621. annual salary

     

    Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. When determining a team member’s compensation and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity)

    Qualifications

    Minimum Education: Associates degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. One to two years’ experience as a Sterile Processing Technician, with previous charge or lead technician experience. Registered Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST) preferably with IAHCSMM (International Association of HealthCare Central Services Materials Management). Proficiency in computer, word processing and spreadsheet programs is helpful.

     

    Minimum Experience: One – two years hospital experience in Sterile Processing or Operating Room. Materials Management experience is a plus.

     

    Required Certification/Registration: Registered Certified Central Sterile Technician

     

    Physical Requirements: Travel to multiple facilities is required
