Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a site **Tooling Engineering Manager 2** to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Tooling organization. This leader will be responsible for providing the people, processes and technology to support tool engineering on multiple programs on site in **Clearfield, Utah** .
This Manger will be leading a team of tool engineers supporting multiple projects and sites to ensure processes and procedures are maintained and in compliance, as well as meeting quality, cost, and schedule targets to ensure program performance and customer satisfaction.
Tooling Manager Job Responsibilities:
+ Lead, provide oversight and guidance to ensure program objectives relative to technical, quality, cost, schedule, and customer satisfaction requirements.
+ Interface with internal and external customers; provide status and forecast of tooling cost and delivery.
+ Identify and develop staffing/skill requirements, forecasts, and training plans.
+ Develop, maintain, and update departmental procedures relative to the tooling life-cycle, from proposal to implementation.
+ Perform Cost Account Manager (CAM) responsibilities to ensure compliance to EVMS for program direct budgets.
+ Develop long-range plans and strategies to provide operationally efficient and affordable tooling products and services to fruition – continuous improvement.
+ Collaborate with other Aeronautics Systems Sector Tooling Management to develop consistent process and procedures to help drive affordability and ensure the deployment of best practices across the sector.
+ Establish and utilize metrics to ensure teams performance is meeting requirements and expectations.
+ Ensure all tooling deliverables meet sector, site, and homeroom process and procedure requirements including tool process specifications.

Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of professional experience in tooling, manufacturing/operations, assembly lines, and/or implementing technology into a production environment OR a Master’s degree and 3 years of professional experience in tooling, manufacturing/operations, assembly lines, and/or implementing technology into a production environment or PhD and 2 years of professional experience in tooling, manufacturing/operations, assembly lines, and/or implementing technology into a production environment
+ 3 years of proven experience leading teams OR projects.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Active DOD Secret Clearance
+ Current Special Program Access
+ Supervisory and/or Management experience in managing large projects, with an emphasis on tooling, manufacturing, assembly lines, and implementing technology into a production environment.
+ Aerospace or Aviation Industry experience managing tool fabrication organizations & tool fabrication shops, & material procurement
+ Experience in Project Management
+ Experience in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Primary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
