    Overview:Responsible to operate, monitor and adjust filler equipment as determined by product processing procedures

    Job Description:

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Operate equipment to ensure product is filled and sealed into the proper package based upon product specifications in order to be packaged.

    + Responsible for size change overs on the machine

    + Responsible for ensuring proper additives are included with the product at the time it is packaged.

    + Preform daily quality inspections and make adjustments to product and equipment as necessary

    + Clean, trouble shoot and complete basic maintenance on equipment

    + Record preventative maintenance activities, quality inspection data, equipment downtime, production output, and other key metrics

    + Responsible for keeping work area clean and sanitizing equipment

    + Responsible for trouble shooting machine and making minor repairs, as well as assisting in preventative maintenance tasks

    + Responsible for performing tasks as described and assigned by the Department Supervisor/Lead.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    + Prior machine operator experience (preferred)

    + Ability to operate fork truck and pallet jack

    + Computer knowledge and documentation

    + Must keep pace with line and able to adjust to changing demands and environments quickly.

    + Must work as a team player, ensuring product specifications are attained in a safe and efficient manner and communicate well with other team members.

    + Must follow company’s GMP’s, SOP’s, Plant Rules and Policies.

    + Assist other departments as assigned by Supervisor/Lead/Manager.

    + Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.

    + Must strive to satisfy the requirements of internal and external customers.

    **These positions will require employees to require long work hours (12-hr shifts) during start-up that could also include 6-7day work weeks as the processes ramp up.

     

    NOTE: Selected candidate(s) will be evaluated during a 60-day introductory period to ensure they have ability to perform the job as described above.
