In this position you will assist the Physical Plant Director in achieving efficient operation of the Physical Plant Department of MCF- Faribault. This position serves as information hub for all areas with the department responsibilities extend to:
+ Developing physical plant budgetary, energy usage and related reports
+ Serving as a primary point of contact for facility staff regarding reporting and data retrieval needs
+ Issuing maintenance and construction related work orders and maintaining the Archibus work order system.
+ Tracking and reporting on B3 energy and recycling usage; and related support services
+ Managing the departments purchase orders
+ Monitoring the shifting budgetary needs by tracking the Physical Plant Budgets.
In this position you will also be BCA Certified and responsible for the background checks and security clearance for all of the outside contractors providing facility services.
Minimum Qualifications
+ Two (2) years of technical, administrative, or para-professional experience supporting business information systems, which may include research, data analysis, reporting, and/or technical documentation (A bachelor’s degree may substitute for one year of expereince)
Applicants who meet the education/experience requirements listed above will be further assessed on the following:
+ Database management skills sufficient to maintain, update, and retrieve information from criminal and DOC-specific databases.
+ Basic statistical analysis skills
+ Analytical and problem-solving skills sufficient to analyze unique situations and devise appropriate solutions based on interpretation of relevant policies and procedures.
+ Communication and customer service skills sufficient to accurately explain technical information to a variety of audiences
+ Ability to design/update and implement new business practices and procedures including new information systems or reports.
+ Ability to manage time sufficient to meet deadlines and prioritize responsibilities.
+ Ability to obtain Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) certification
+ Ability to maintain confidential information
Preferred Qualifications
+ Familiarity with Archibus or similar work order system
+ Experience or familiarity with issuing purchase orders or reviewing budgetary documents
+ Experience working in a skilled trade, construction, or maintenance environment
+ Experience working in a correctional or other secured environment
Physical Requirements

Additional Requirements
The selection process may include screening the top candidate(s) on their criminal history, predatory offender registration, offender associations and/or other applicable background information in accordance with Department of Corrections’ policy. Top candidate(s) must pass a criminal history check which includes successful completion of all sentencing and/or restitution requirements of law enforcement jurisdictions, including probation.
Employment history/reference checks, including incidents of sexual harassment, will also be conducted on the top candidate(s) in accordance with Department of Corrections’ policy. This may include a review of job performance and discipline records.
