    Job Summary and Responsibilities

    Job Summary / Purpose

    Provides general maintenance coverage on any shift. This position requires multiple skills and demonstrates excellent team skills in supporting the mission, standards and program of the department.

    Essential Functions

    + Corrects and repairs minor plumbing, to include flush valve, drain stoppage, faucet repairs and shower valve repairs.

    + Corrects med gas valve leaks by rebuilding front bodies as required.

    + Corrects and repairs minor electrical problems such as replaces ballasts, receptacle and light switches.

    + Performs all general maintenance assignments as required.

    + Completes inspections according to established procedures completing log sheets, checklists and PM sheets as required.

    + Completes required documentation in reference to mechanical systems as required by federal, state and regulatory agencies.

    + Assist other skilled workers and performs general maintenance work as requested.

    + Facilitates the efficient operation of the department by answering the telephone and assisting callers or visitors with request.

    + Safe handling/disposal/packaging for Transport of Pharmaceutical Waste / Hazardous Materials / Biohazardous Regulated Medical Waste.

    + Completes the Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCA) and Hazardous Waste education during employee orientation.

    + Tri-annually education for the D.O.T. training.

    + Knowledgeable of the process for identifying the proper waste stream and uses the appropriate container to dispose of waste.

    + Knowledgeable regarding the process to contact the emergency response coordinator for hazardous waste / pharmaceutical release / spill clean-up.

    Job Requirements

    Education and Experience

    + High School Diploma or GED required.

    Licensure and Certifications

    + Driver's License: KY (AUTO:KY) required.

    Pay Range

    $20.36 - $28.76 /hour
