Job Title: Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled machinist capable of performing shop math, including geometric, algebraic, and trigonometric calculations. The ideal candidate must be proficient in metric conversions, reading and understanding blueprints, specifications, and capable of calculating feeds and speeds. A strong understanding of geometric tolerancing is essential.

Responsibilities

+ Perform shop math calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and geometric operations.

+ Conduct metric conversions efficiently.

+ Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and code experience.

+ Calculate feeds and speeds accurately.

+ Apply a strong understanding of geometric tolerancing.

+ Act as a process engineer/programmer by editing code at the machine.

Essential Skills

+ 5+ years of setup machining experience, preferably with VTL or boring bar.

+ 3+ years of experience with blueprints and understanding of GD&T.

+ Familiarity with g-code and m-code programming.

+ Proficient in using calipers and other precision measurement tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with conversational controls is a plus.

+ Rigging with an overhead crane is beneficial.

+ Experience with vertical lathes, horizontal lathes, boring bars, vertical mills, and horizontal mills.

Work Environment

Our facility features an open, well-lit floor in Bay 1 dedicated to large contract machining and Bay 2 featuring Haas cells with vertical mills and horizontal lathes. The 3rd shift hours are from 10:30 pm to 6:30 am. Employees are expected to cover these hours but may work before or after the shift.

This is a Permanent position based out of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $75000.00/yr.
