Job Overview

We are seeking a Radar Principal Systems Engineer to support the Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) department. This team specializes in concept development, architectural design, requirements generation and flow-down, modeling and simulation, systems analysis, integration, testing, and evaluation of advanced missile defense and sensor systems.

Key Responsibilities

As part of a collaborative engineering team, you will:

+ Define radar system requirements and design architectures and algorithms to meet those requirements.

+ Collaborate with software development teams to ensure effective implementation of radar capabilities.

+ Analyze radar system performance data against requirements.

+ Identify performance deficiencies and propose innovative solutions.

+ Prototype new algorithms to enhance system performance.

+ Present technical plans, designs, and performance results to internal teams and external stakeholders.

+ Provide subject matter expertise to agile software development teams.

Focus Areas May Include

+ Electronic protection, signal processing, and applied mathematics

+ Hypersonic threat defense

+ Tracking, discrimination, search, and battle manager interfaces

+ Radar calibration, diagnostics, and deployed site support

+ Modeling and simulation of tactical software

Required Skills

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100.00 - $130.00/hr.
