    How you’ll have an impact at Paula’s Choice:

    The Chief of Staff will be a key member of our team, working closely with the executive team to help drive the overall strategy and portfolio management of the organization. This is a highly visible and impactful role that requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a keen ability to think strategically and execute effectively.

     

    The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a strategic leadership role, with a background in portfolio management, business development and strategic planning, and communications. The Chief of Staff must have a deep understanding of how to approach and solve complex business problems, have strong systems and analytical thinking along with advanced problem-solving skills.

    As Head of Strategy & Chief of Staff, a typical day might include a mix of the following:

    + Work closely with the executive leadership team to develop and deploy strategic initiatives as well as monitor and report on the progress of these initiatives ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

    + Lead the annual business planning process and collaborate closely with the executive leadership team to set business priorities and monitor their progress.

    + Work with applicable global teams to ensure relevant data, information and reports are supplied to the CEO and Global Leadership Team (GLT).

    + Ensure data driven decision making through meticulous analyses and reporting. Prepare and present reports highlighting achievements, challenges and areas for improvement.

    + Act as a central point of contact for the leadership team, managing communications and updates on key projects and priorities.

    + Analyze and synthesize data and information from various sources to inform decision-making at the highest level.

    + Work closely with the GLT to identify and prioritize opportunities for growth and innovation and developing and implementing plans to capture those opportunities.

    + Develop and monitor key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of various teams, programs and initiatives.

    + Coordinate and lead executive meetings, including setting agendas, documenting action items, and ensuring follow-through.

    + Assist with special projects, including establishing metrics, building financial models, reviewing partnership agreements, and more.

    + Lead a small project management team to drive results and achieve key objectives.

    The Details:

    + **Location: Seattle, WA based**

    + Hours: Typical Business Hours, with flexibility

    + Physical requirements: Ability to handle both sitting and screen time for long periods of time

    What you’ll bring to the table:

    + Proven experience (7+ years) experience in a strategic leadership role, ideally in a venture capital, private equity, or startup environment.

    + Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

    + Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong focus on achieving results and driving business growth.

    + Strategic thinker with strong quantitative aptitude and operational experience.

    + A proactive and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.

    + A track record of driving results and achieving key objectives through the leadership and management of teams.

    + Strong leadership presence and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

    + Experience in change management and business transformation initiatives.

    Approximate Salary Range Based on Experience and Location:

    $200,000 - $230,000 USD/annually

    Paula’s Choice Skincare determines the pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data. We evaluate external and internal equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. Our posted salary range is based on national data and may be refined for a candidate's region/town/cost of living.

     

    For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan.
