Position Overview

We are seeking a Customer Service Specialist with experience in customer-facing roles within the medical, insurance, or office administration industries. This role involves educating patients on medical equipment, troubleshooting, and guiding them through insurance and financial responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

+ Answer inbound/outbound calls and emails in a timely, professional manner

+ Consult one-on-one with patients to explain and troubleshoot medical equipment

+ Educate patients and caregivers on proper equipment use and care

+ Verify referral information, create orders, and schedule equipment delivery

+ Collaborate with Respiratory Department staff and Program Managers

+ Maintain accurate documentation and follow HIPAA guidelines

Must-Have Qualifications

+ 1+ years of customer service or administrative experience in a medical, insurance, or office setting

+ Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly

+ Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist patients into seated positions

On-Call Details (Post-Hire)

+ Weekdays (M–F): 5 PM – 9 PM | Stipend: $25

+ Weekends (Sat–Sun): 9 AM – 9 PM | Stipend: $60

+ Remote work allowed during on-call shifts (must have private, secure Wi-Fi access)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
