Summary:

Monitor schedule and set up/stage/tear down die cutting tooling accordingly. Work daily with operators to identify pre-make ready improvement opportunities. Support die maker utility role as needed. Maintain housekeeping and 5S to standards set by management. Follow all WestRock Core Values and Behaviors. Additional job duties as assigned by department manager.

Safety:

Required - PPE must be worn while on your job. At a minimum safety glasses, steel toe shoes and hearing protection. Gloves are required on the production floor and warehouses at all times. Please see Appendix A and B (Conover specific) attached to the WestRock Glove Policy (CompliantPRo). Bump cap per company policy

Training:

Training requirements for this position are maintained in the Training Module of Compliant Pro.

Compliance with all workplace rules, policies and procedures, i.e. SQF, safety, etc.

Protective Equipment Required: Safety glasses, hair nets, beard nets, composite/steel toe shoes, ear plugs, bump caps and gloves per glove policy.

* Testing and Measuring Ability (General Math): Ability to use and read basic measurement devices, (calculator, tape measure, and ruler.) Ability to operate lift truck. Ability to operate pallet jack. General mechanical aptitude. Pass Farnsworth Munsel-100 Hue Test. Ability to operate, copier, and fax.

* Written/Verbal Communications Skills: Follow detailed instructions for training and quality. Communicate with managers, customer service, accounting, production employees

* Computer Skills: Good computer skills (Excel, Word, Schedule Assistant, AS400, KRONOS)

* Knowledge of Cartons: Perform quality checks/audits on cartons being processed.

Essential/Marginal Functions/Physical Requirements:

Essential: Stand at and use of computer terminal. Walking around production facility. Telephone use. Lift tooling. Operate die room lift & operate pallet jack (certification required). Operate finger set-up machinery.

Marginal: Sweeping, climbing stairs, operate aerator, operate cutter.
