• Drafting/CAD Technician II

    CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a Drafting/CAD Technician II.

    _Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite_

    **Pay Rate:** Based on experience

    **Work Hours:** M-F 8am-5pm

    Position Summary:

    The Drafting/CAD Technician II will manage and maintain technical drawings, support operations and improvement projects, and collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations to design and troubleshoot equipment. This role ensures accuracy, organization, and accessibility of all plant drawings while applying technical design expertise to support manufacturing advancements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Maintain and coordinate all plant drawings.

    + Ensure project documentation (drawings, procedures, schedules, spare parts) is complete.

    + Design and develop equipment with cross-functional teams.

    + Support engineering and maintenance troubleshooting using technical drawings.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Education:

    + 2-year technical degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical Engineering, CAD/CAM, or Manufacturing.

    + Equivalent experience with a drafting certificate accepted.

    Experience:

    + Minimum 2 years in drafting, CAD design, or related field.

    Required Skills:

    + Proficient in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD software.

    + Strong problem-solving, design, and technical drawing interpretation skills.

    + Experience creating detailed drawing packages and updating manufacturing drawings.

    + Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

    + Microsoft Excel proficiency.

    + Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

    + Strong time management, organization, and communication skills.

    + Self-motivated and technically curious.

    Preferred Skills:

    + Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks PDM or similar drawing vault systems.

    + Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.

    + Familiarity with manufacturing environments and additive manufacturing (3D printing).

    + Advanced computer skills.
