    + JOB REQUIREMENTS

    + Education

    + High school graduate required, associate degree is preferred. Leadership qualities, management and organizational ability is a plus.

    + Experience

    + Must have knowledge of computers. Must have three years of experience in hospital, nursing home and/or hotel laundry. Knowledge of laundry equipment, linen and laundry chemicals. Knowledge of laundry processes, inventory control, production and personnel management preferred.

    + Physical

    + Requires constant mobility, sight, hearing and verbal communications. Exposure to disagreeable elements (odors, heavily soiled linen, lint, etc.) Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.

    + JOB SUMMARY

    + Under general supervision, works independently to increase efficient work flow and increase production process requisitions for linens, chemicals and outside contractors for repairs. Directs all work activities throughout the laundry department. Utilizes production reports to keep up employee productivity. Oversees and maintains par levels for all using departments. Responsible for laundry budget with assistance from Assistant Director. Must communicate effectively with staff and user departments. Responsible for maintenance of equipment. Routinely, assigns and responsibly directs staff. This position is required to utilize independent judgment.
