Position Summary

As an EHS intern, you will gain hands-on experience working on meaningful projects, network with teammates across the organization, and learn what it is like to promote safety and sustainability in the industry. Responsibilities
EHS - Environmental Interns typically:
+ Work on problems of limited scope and contribute on projects or processes while receiving detailed instructions from higher level professionals
+ Assist with employee compliance training and ensuring employee completion of all required courses; auditing compliance with programs & procedures, investigating complaints, and verifying that deficiencies are corrected
+ Support the designing and administering of environmental safety and pollution prevention programs in accordance with organization, regulatory, and labor union requirements/agreement
+ Review and analyze environmental documentation issued by regulatory agenciesto determine financial, industrial, public, and environmental impact
+ Support environmental engineering studies and preparation of environmental impact reports for new construction projects, plant processes, and permits

We are looking for students who:
+ Are highly motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
+ Have a people-centric focus with ability to collaborate with all teammates across the organization
+ Exhibit strong initiative, work ethic and levels of enthusiasm
+ Demonstrate technical aptitude in major of study
+ Practice excellent communication and presentation skills
To thrive in this role, you need…
+ To be pursuing a degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or another applicable major and actively enrolled in an accredited university the semester prior to your start date
+ To be sophomore-senior level standing with a GPA of at least 3.0
+ To be available to work 40 hours weekly in a 12-week internship assignment
+ No other work experience is required. We will teach you everything you need to know!
