    Materials and Planning Manager

     

    Tektronix Component Solutions (CSO), a trusted provider of advanced microelectronics manufacturing and engineering services, is seeking a strategic and hands-on **Manufacturing Materials and Planning Manager** to lead production procurement and planning across our high-mix, high-reliability manufacturing environment. This role is critical to ensuring efficient resource utilization, on-time delivery, and alignment with customer and business objectives.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Material Management

    + Responsible for day-to-day materials to support operations including driving/implementing materials process improvements to support business goals with emphasis on inventory management and continuity of supply to support the manufacturing floor.

    + Responsible for inventory management including understanding the product life cycles and ensuring the levels stay at a predetermined limit so that customers orders can be fulfilled timely.

    + Supervise/Coach operational buyer/planners on maintaining relationships with vendors and ensure proper negotiation with suppliers to drive material cost savings.

    + Collaborate with the Commodity Management team to conduct market analysis to assess market conditions to determine a “buy best” approach evaluating value beyond price (e.g. Innovation, Growth, Life-Cycle Costs, Working Capital, and Capex) while ensuring material continuity and minimizing supply risk management objectives.

    + Production Planning

    + Lead team development and management of production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize manufacturing efficiency.

    + In collaboration with the manufacturing manager, balance capacity, labor, and material availability to ensure timely execution of production plans.

    + Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by integrating planning activities with development timelines.

    + General Requirements

    + **Continuous Improvement**

    + Apply Ralliant Business System (RBS) and lean principles to improve planning processes, reduce waste, and enhance responsiveness.

    + Lead initiatives to improve key metrics such as On-Time Delivery (OTD), inventory turns, and schedule accuracy.

    + **Systems & Data Management**

    + Utilize ERP/MRP systems (Oracle Cloud Fusion preferred) to manage planning and materials data and drive decision-making.

    + Monitor and report on supplier and production performance, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions.

    + **Leadership & Team Development**

    + Supervise and mentor planning team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

    + Promote transparency and effective communication across departments.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Bachelor in Supply Chain, Business or Engineering

    + 5 years of inventory experience in a manufacturing environment

    + 2 years' experience managing an operational buying/planning team

    + Lean training and experience

    TECHNICAL SKILLS / TOOLS:

    + Strong Leadership skills. Able to build teams and build consensus with Staff, peers and direct reports.

    + Lean manufacturing experience/ Value Stream mapping and kanban planning

    + Proven inventory management success.

    + Ability to develop and execute strategic plans

    + Excellent cross-functional interpersonal, facilitation, communication and leadership skills

    + Self-starter and highly motivated

    + Project management skills

    + Results driven and possess excellent organization, communication (written and oral), and presentation skills

    + Proficient in performing queries in ERP systems (Oracle Cloud Fusion), along with data gathering, manipulation, and analysis expertise.

    Bonus or Equity

     

    This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.

    Pay Range

    The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 89,200.00 - 165,600.00

     

    Is this role subject to ITAR?

     

    The essential duties of this position require adherence to U.S. Government export control regulations.
