    Job Description

    A client in Houston, TX is looking for a Civil Designer to join their team in support of high voltage utilities projects. This person will be responsible for creating technical drawings and specifications for various electrical facilities and structures related for transmission and substation projects. Some of their day to day responsibilities include creating and modifying technical drawings, producing detailed documentation (structural drawings, parts lists, and connection diagrams), and reviewing/interpreting design specifications or sketches. The Designer will work closely with the team of engineers, architects, and other construction personnel to ensure the design goals for all projects are met.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - Experience with Auto CADD and MicroStation

     

    - Ability to export drawings in Microsoft Word and Excel as needed

     

    - Associates Degree OR 3+ years of relevant work experience

     

    - Background in utilities industry, specifically with Transmission/Substation Foundational Design - Experience with 3D modeling

     

    - Experience with Project Wise
