Position Description:
This a responsible professional position with limited administrative and supervisory duties at the unit level. Specific duties include testing, psychological evaluation and diagnostic services as well as counseling assigned patient caseload. This position functions under the supervision of a higher level licensed psychologist, but the individual has full professional responsibility for higher actions and advice.

Major/Essential Functions:
+ Assist in evaluation, assessments, and discharge of patients under the direction of a physician.
+ Establish rapport with individuals that are being asked to participate in the project.
+ Work with the TTUHSC El Paso department of Psychiatry, and community organizations.
+ Inform individuals about resources for mental health treatment. Must meet established goals and deadlines. Is expected to meet with participants daily.
+ Attend weekly meetings to report back to team on outreach initiative.
+ Maintain confidentiality and patient privacy at all times.
+ Verify and ensure patient data is accurately documented according to research protocols and IRB requirements.
+ Schedule follow-up care (i.e., appointments, referrals, self-reports, scales) as requested.
+ May be required to travel for the purposes of recruitment and education.
+ Collect data using REDCap and document participant relevant clinical information.
+ Work with the team to document recruitment and education activities. Data collection must be organized, consistent, accurate and readily available for review.
+ Collaborate with community agencies and providers in support of Individual Treatment Plans.
+ Maintain positive community relationships. Rate assessments and questionnaires and input data in REDCap.
+ Participate and collaborate in multiple research studies. Become certified in relevant psychotherapeutic interventions.
+ Provide participants with psycho therapeutic treatment according to research protocols.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
+ Implements interventions to support the patients participating in the project. Monitors the effectiveness of interventions.
+ Utilizes evidence-based approaches and techniques, paying thought to research findings, core theory, and experience from practice.
+ Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals. Facilitate staff, patient, and family decision making by through psycho education.
+ Remains current with all licensure, certifications and mandatory compliances and trainings required of this position.
+ Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures and processes
+ Personally demonstrate, display, and act in accordance with TTUHSCEP values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork).

Preferred Qualifications:
+ Be capable of working on several tasks simultaneously and does so according to designated time frames and level of importance, and have a strong work ethic and follow ethical guidelines.
+ Individual casework practice, crisis intervention, information and referral, case management and interviewing.
+ Experience working with adolescents. Licensure/certification Licensed Professional Counselors(LPC), LPC-Associate, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or related.
