    About this role:

    The Program Team Lead provides daily leadership and oversight for the Community Based Day Supports (CBDS) program, ensuring high-quality, person-centered services that promote independence, personal growth, and community inclusion. This role supervises Direct Support Professionals, partners with the Senior Program Director on program operations and budgeting, and ensures compliance with agency policies, regulatory standards, and best practices.

     

    Status/Schedule: Exempt/Monday - Friday

    We are looking for people who have:

    + Associate’s degree in human services, social work, education, or related field, or equivalent experience.

    + Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities or in a similar human services setting.

    + At least 1 year of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience.

    + Knowledge of community inclusion principles and person-centered practices.

    + Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

    + Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

    + Ability to complete and maintain CPR/FA and SafetyCare certifications.

    + Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

    Working Conditions & Physical Requirements for this role:

    + Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, and movement throughout program spaces and community sites.

    + Climbing stairs and navigating uneven terrain during outings or home visits.

    + Occasionally lifting/moving up to 25 lbs (supplies, adaptive equipment).

    + Providing physical assistance and management to participants as needed, following SafetyCare principles.

    + Remaining physically and mentally alert to respond to emergencies, including first aid/CPR.

    + Operating vehicles safely and assisting with participant transportation.

    + Work occurs indoors, in offices, and in varied community settings, sometimes in varied weather.

    + Occasional exposure to moderate noise levels.

    + Flexibility for changing schedules and occasional evening/weekend activities.

    + Maintaining professionalism while managing challenging behaviors or stressful situations.

    In this role, you’ll get to:

    Program Operations & Oversight

     

    + Lead day-to-day operations of the CBDS program, ensuring a safe and engaging environment.

    + Partner with the Senior Director to develop, monitor, and maintain the program budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility.

    + Coordinate schedules, community outings, and activities to support individual participant goals.

    + Monitor program performance and compliance with state, federal, and agency standards.

     

    Staff Supervision & Development

     

    + Directly supervise CBDS team members, providing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations.

    + Support staff in implementing individualized service plans and building positive participant relationships.

    + Ensure completion and maintenance of SafetyCare, CPR/FA, and other required certifications.

    + Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive team culture.

     

    Participant Support & Engagement

     

    + Build positive relationships with participants and their families/guardians.

    + Monitor individual progress toward goals, adapting activities as needed.

    + Support daily activities promoting independence, skill development, and community inclusion.

    + Assist participants in achieving personal goals identified in their Individualized Service Plans (ISPs).

    + Accompany participants on community outings and encourage engagement in recreational, volunteering, and vocational opportunities.

    + Safely provide transportation to and from the program and community activities.

     

    Compliance & Quality Assurance

     

    + Maintain accurate records including attendance, incident reports, and regulatory documentation.

    + Ensure the program consistently meets agency policies, funding requirements, and health and safety standards.

     

    Collaboration & Communication

     

    + Serve as primary on-site contact for internal and external partners.

    + Communicate effectively with the Senior Program Director regarding program updates, challenges, and successes.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.
