This position supervises the Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) Financial Services Accounts Payable Department assuring that employee and departmental obligations are promptly paid, and recorded in the Statewide Integrated Financial Tools System (SWIFT) system. The Accounts Payable Supervisor will also assure that DCT accounts are accurately charged and allotted and encumbered funds are available and reserved for obligations, and that the state and federal purchasing, travel, and payment policies are adhered to.
This position is also responsible for developing payment processes and procedures and training department staff to ensure that departmental obligations are promptly, accurately, and efficiently paid and that internal controls are in place to identify areas of weakness.
Minimum Qualifications

Two (2) years of experience in accounting, accounts payable or financial management that demonstrates the following:
+ Experience as a supervisor, team lead, lead worker or project lead
+ Experience with financial systems (i.e. SWIFT, GASB) and applications, database, spreadsheets, and other office applications
+ Experience reading, interpreting, and understanding statutes, rules, and regulations
+ Experience with analyzing, reconciling and researching financial data to independently research and resolve errors and problems.
+ Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP) and business administration practices within accounting structures
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or closely related field
+ Healthcare accounting or government accounting experience
