    **Additional Information:** This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, HEI Hotels & Resorts. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

     

    The Sous Chef at the Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards will assist the Executive Chef in planning and managing the culinary associates in the procurement, production, preparation, and presentation of all food for the hotel in a safe, sanitary work environment which conforms to all standards and regulations and achieves profitable, competitive, quality products.

    Qualified Candidates will have the following qualifications and skills:

    Two+ years of post-high school education, culinary education is desirable.

     

    Five+ years of employment in a related position.

     

    Hotel experience preferred.

     

    Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession. This includes experiential knowledge required for management of associates and/or complex problems and food and beverage management.

     

    Knowledge of hotel operations, including marketing plans, security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations, preparation of business plans, repairs, maintenance, budget forecasting, quality assurance programs, hospitality law, and long-range planning.

     

    Leadership skills to motivate and develop staff and to ensure accomplishment of goals.

     

    Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.

     

    Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.

     

    This position is an Overtime Eligible Manager position (OEM) and the target annual salary range is $55,000.00 – $70,000.00.
