Job Summary and Qualifications

The Administrative Director of Nursing oversees the House Supervisors that are responsible for coordinating patient flow throughout the hospital and clinical coordination of care across the continuum. Additionally, will oversee the Administrative Assistant Coordinators to assure they meet the needs of the departments efficiently. The Administrative Director will provide leadership in planning, directing, coordinating, and improving healthcare services consistent with our hospital policies and standards for quality care. This position will also participate as the chair of Del Sol Medical Center SEIU and NNOC management staffing committee and will work with the Director of Labor Relations and the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to address any Union staffing committee proposals and data requests. This position will also be responsible for other nursing projects and for selecting nursing service personnel based on the facility needs.

+ You will evaluate and implement of patient flow to ensure maximization of the hospital resources.

+ You will continually evaluate, monitor and improve the patient flow program effectiveness as it relates to utilization review, resource management, and discharge planning.

+ You will establish patient flow goals in coordination with hospital executive management and monitor progress toward the goals through tracking tools such as ED dashboard and inpatient dashboards.

+ You will monitors staffing/schedule practices and patterns and report findings to the CNO

+ You will establish systems for capturing, tracking, and reporting relevant operational statistics

+ You oversee the hospital’s House Supervisors, Administrative Assistance Coordinators to assure they meet the needs of the depts effectively.

+ You will be responsible for managing any Board of Nursing inquiries in a timely manner.

+ You will participate in Union related issues and ensures all proposals and data requests are responded to within 30 days.

+ You will collaborate with Directors, physicians, community agencies and institutions to improve the quality of services to resolve identified problems

+ You will participate in development and coordination of new projects.

+ You will assist with the implementation of action plans for improvement.

Understands the personal obligation to report any activity that appears to violate applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

What qualifications you will need:

+ (RN) Registered Nurse

+ Bachelors Degree, or Masters Degree

+ Current RN licensure in Texas or compact state required.

+ A minimum of 5 years of management and supervisory experience in healthcare operations through administrative ability, initiative, resourcefulness, executive and analytical ability.

+ Experience in organizational assessment, strategic planning and highly developed leadership and interpersonal skills required.

+ Must have strong knowledge of Meditech, HPF, PDOC, and other database products such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.

+ BLS and ACLS required
