    Baystate Health, the largest healthcare organization in western Massachusetts and home to Baystate Medical Center (BMC), the areas only level 1 trauma center in Western Mass, **is looking for a Physician & APC Recruiter to join our Physician and APC Recruitment team in Springfield, MA.**

     

    **RESPONSIBILITIES: Baystate Health Physician and APC Recruiters** make a lasting impact on healthcare by helping to build the future of clinical excellence at Baystate Health. As a trusted partner with clinical and administrative leaders, you will design and execute innovative recruitment strategies that align with both immediate and long-term needs across our service lines. From developing sourcing strategies to guiding candidates through the full-cycle recruitment process, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to our mission of delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

    As a Physician & APC Recruiter, you will:

    Develop Strategic Recruitment Plans

    + Collaborate with clinical and administrative leadership to assess workforce needs and develop tailored recruitment strategies.

    + Ensure all necessary documentation and approvals are in place prior to search initiation.

    Drive Talent Sourcing & Branding

    + Create compelling job postings and sourcing strategies using a mix of print, digital, networking, and vendor partnerships.

    + Represent Baystate Health at job fairs, professional conferences, and community events.

    Manage Full-Cycle Recruitment

    + Screen, interview, and guide candidates through the entire hiring journey—from initial contact to offer acceptance and orientation.

    + Coordinate interview logistics, site visits, and personalized candidate experiences, including community tours and family engagement.

    Collaborate & Communicate

    + Serve as the central point of contact for candidates and department stakeholders throughout the hiring process.

    + Facilitate regular updates and feedback loops with clinical leadership to maintain momentum on active searches.

    Support Seamless Hiring & Onboarding

    + Ensure thorough reference checks, offer negotiations, and alignment with credentialing and onboarding processes.

    + Communicate candidate decisions respectfully and promptly, ensuring a positive experience for all.

    Continuous Improvement

    + Identify and champion process improvements that enhance efficiency and candidate experience.

    + Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives as needed.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Bachelors degree, required

    + Minimum of 4 years of clinical or provider recruiting or physician relations experience, or in lieu of Bachelors Degree 6 years of experience required

    + Demonstrates knowledge of HR and personnel practices applicable to physician recruitment.

    + Overall principles of stark laws, all applicable labor, pay, benefits, health and safety laws and regulations and as well as federal and state laws regarding employment practices including all applicable EEO and ADA regulations.

    + Must demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team, communicate effectively with various levels of staff and flexibility to work under tight deadlines.

    + Demonstrated strong customer service skills/customer orientation that includes responding promptly to customer needs, soliciting feedback, and responding to requests in a timely manner. Proficient verbal, written and visual/presentation communication skills required with the ability to work with all levels senior level leaders.

    + Proficient tact, diplomacy and people skills necessary to interact with candidates, outside vendors and internal contacts.

    + Ability to write effective reports and business correspondence and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

    + Demonstrated ability to research difficult issues and engage needed resources to achieve resolution. Computer literate with a high level of accuracy and detail orientation.

    + Must present a mature, professional attitude and appearance at all times. Must be able to handle competing tasks and priorities while maintaining good organizational and follow-through skills.

    SCHEDULE:

    + Full-time

    + Monday through Friday – flexible schedule

    + Some evening/weekend hours required for conference or events

    We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other recognition programs for our employees. The base pay range shown above considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This base pay range does not include our comprehensive benefits package and any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role.
