Summary:
Meta is seeking a Data Center Engineer Intern to join its Infrastructure Data Center team. A working knowledge of Linux, a basic understanding of server hardware, and the desire to participate in projects at a large-scale data center is central to this role. This position will work to resolve and diagnose server issues at scale, escalate issues, and work with remote engineering teams. This position will be working in a fast-paced environment where adaptability and flexibility will be key to success.

Data Center Production Operations Engineering Intern Responsibilities:
1. Work within Meta's ticketing system in support of the health of Meta's server fleet
2. Act as the first point of contact for break fix technicians
3. Assist with projects (new capacity as well as retrofits) and repairs throughout the data center
4. Triage and conduct initial analysis to debug hardware and Linux OS related issues
5. Help to create documentation for the global data center knowledge base
6. Assist with process improvements and best practices in data center operations
Minimum Qualifications:

7. In the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree or Associate’s degree in a technical field
8. Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op
9. Knowledge of Linux
10. Knowledge of modifying and developing in Python, SQL, and/or shell scripting
11. Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment

13. Conceptual knowledge of networking technologies, such as DNS, RAID, and DHCP
Public Compensation:
$4,183/month to $1,126,667/month + benefits
