    Job Summary and Responsibilities

    + Calling or mailing letters to patients about past due balances.

    + Meeting with patients to collect money, discuss their bill or setup monthly payment plans.

    + Sending out electronic patient statements weekly.

    + Adjust off accounts to go to collections and communicate with collection agency.

    + Assist patients to apply for hardship applications with the hospital.

    + Work credits and small balance accounts monthly..

    Job Requirements

    + 2 years’ experience performing billing duties at a medical clinic preferably in patient collections.

    + High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

    + Strong understanding of clinic billing practices, knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes, attention to detail, ability to handle a high volume of work, self-starter and good organizational skills.

    Pay Range

    $16.42 - $23.19 /hour
