_Job Title: Packager / Bander ($18/hr.+)_

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented 1st & 2nd Shift Packagers to join our team. You will be responsible for packaging steel products to customer specifications, ensuring quality and precision. You will also operate an overhead crane. This role requires working on your feet for the entire shift in an industrial environment.

_1st shift (6:00am - 2:00pm) Monday thru Friday (1 opening)_

_2nd shift (10am - 6:00pm) Monday thru Friday (1 opening)_

_Overtime pay rate of $27/hr._

_Weekly pay**_

Responsibilities

+ Work in an industrial environment on the end of the packaging line.

+ Package steel by banding large plates according to customer specifications.

+ Learn and adhere to customer order requirements, including skidded wood runners, band quantity, and waterproof paper needs.

+ Collaborate with another packager to package 50-100 bundles per day.

+ Handle steel plate/sheet bundles weighing 2,000 - 5,000 lbs.

+ Use plastic banding for 99% of packaging tasks.

+ Read work instructions and collaborate with the team lead.

+ Operate a stacker machine, load coils, and make skids.

+ Utilize hand tools, nail gun, and stapler.

+ Operate an overhead crane and tow motor.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in packaging and general production.

+ Proficiency in using hand tools.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

+ Experience in steel manufacturing, crane operation, and overhead crane usage.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Steel toe boots are required.

+ Experience in a fast-paced environment is essential.

+ Forklift experience is a plus.

+ Experience in a steel manufacturing environment is advantageous.

Work Environment

You will work in a dynamic steel manufacturing environment that can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The facility features large garage doors that open for semi-truck loading and unloading.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Streetsboro, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
