    Job Title: Construction Laborer

    Job Description

    Join our dynamic excavating company as a construction laborer where you will perform general construction tasks. Collaborate with landscape crews to efficiently move materials around various job sites.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform general construction labor duties.

    + Work closely with landscape crews to move materials at the site.

    + Ensure the proper handling of tools and materials.

    + Read and interpret tape measurements accurately.

    + Maintain site cleanliness and adhere to safety regulations.

    Essential Skills

    + 1+ years of experience in construction labor or landscaping, validated with references.

    + Valid driver's license and personal transportation.

    + Ability to read a tape measure.

    + Capability to lift over 50 lbs regularly.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Basic knowledge of landscaping and lawn care.

    + Experience with construction and concrete work.

    Work Environment

     

    You will be engaged on commercial job sites, enduring all weather conditions such as heat, cold, and rain. The company culture emphasizes a family atmosphere with a small, tight-knit team of 12-14 employees. Crews typically consist of 2-4 members, depending on the project size. Work hours are from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, starting at the shop before heading to job sites. A steel toe boot and pants are required, and personal hand tools including a tape, hammer, and tool bags are necessary. The company provides PPE including a hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection, and high-visibility shirts or vests.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison, Wisconsin.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
