    Job Title: Production Materials Coordinator

    Job Description

    The Production Materials Coordinator will work across all departments to organize and transport finished products within the manufacturing space. This role will also support final assembly and packaging as necessary. It is an intermediate-level position that requires a comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing operations and technical aspects relevant to problem-solving and situations typically encountered in the field. Supervision is minimal for routine tasks, with general instructions provided for new projects or special assignments.

    Responsibilities

    + Identify component requirements for productions from engineering.

    + Review work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.

    + Prepare kits/pallets for final shipment.

    + Assemble products to completion.

    + Assist with final packaging.

    + Track delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment where needed.

    + Read and interpret assembly blueprints.

    + Work independently and follow a schedule.

    + Participate in shop cleanup activities.

    + Communicate with Shop Leads regarding quality and production schedules.

    + Ensure quality in job duties and address any quality issues as they arise.

    + Multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.

    + Assist coworkers with other tasks as assigned.

    + Operate within the requirements of an ISO 9001 Quality System.

    + Collaborate with Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety employees to maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

    + Be aware of and comply with environmental and safety policies and regulations, maintaining high-quality standards.

    Essential Skills

    + **Experience with SAP is required.**

    + Ability to understand and interpret assembly blueprints or diagrams.

    + Mechanical aptitude and proficiency in physical assembly of parts.

    + Experience with a variety of assembly operations using drawings, BOMs, and Work Order Travelers.

    + Proficiency with small hand tools such as needle nose pliers, de-soldering tools, tweezers, brushes, screwdrivers, clippers, and wire strippers.

    + Basic computer skills.

    + Good communication skills.

    + Positive attitude.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Inventory control and management.

    + Material handling and supply chain experience.

    + Shipping and receiving knowledge.

    + Experience with cycle counts and data entry.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Charleston, South Carolina.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
