Job Title: Electrical Engineer Job Description
The Electrical Engineer supports the design, development, packaging, testing, and integration efforts of electrical/electronic systems and components, ultimately supporting the war-fighter. You will work under the general direction of a project engineering lead to perform electrical system design on a variety of military systems, including combat vehicles, gun systems, and guided munitions. The role requires providing detailed engineering analysis of components, subsystems, and systems for military product applications.
Responsibilities
+ Support design and development of electrical/electronic systems and components.
+ Perform electrical system design on military systems such as combat vehicles, gun systems, and guided munitions.
+ Conduct detailed engineering analysis of components, subsystems, and systems for military product application.
+ Create, read, and comprehend schematics and interconnect drawings.
+ Develop and manage interface control documents.
+ Perform circuit simulations using tools like PSpice or LTspice.
+ Convey data, information, and technical results to customers effectively through verbal and written communication.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field and four years of relevant experience, or two years with a master's degree.
+ Ability to solve moderately complex technical design and development problems with a professional level of engineering knowledge.
+ Experience in creating, reading, and comprehending schematics and interconnect drawings.
+ Proficiency in circuit design using Cadence for analog and digital circuits.
+ Experience with simulation tools such as PSpice, Simulink, and MATLAB.
+ Experience with FPGA low-level coding.
+ Proficiency in LabVIEW, Simulink, and MATLAB.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Familiarity with relevant military and commercial design standards.
+ Knowledge of computer programming languages, such as C, C#, and LabWindows/CVI.
+ Working knowledge of Visio.
+ Familiarity with design for components in high EMI environments.
+ Systems Engineering and manufacturing knowledge.
Work Environment
This is an onsite position with a possibility of a hybrid role requiring 50% or more onsite presence. Candidates should be local and available for onsite work as needed. The position is with a leading defense contractor, providing a stable and rewarding work environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
