We are seeking a Animal Care/Loading Dock Technician to join our top Biopharmaceutical client in NY! This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to both the loading dock operations and the vivarium cage wash under direct supervision. The role involves receiving and processing incoming products, managing inventory, restocking supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE), and supporting vivarium operations as needed. Vivarium responsibilities include cleaning cages and equipment, maintaining the facility, and ensuring seamless daily operations

A Typical Day in the Role Might Look Like:

+ Receiving and inspecting incoming products, and promptly reporting any discrepancies to management.

+ Organizing, labeling, and storing all products and PPE in designated locations.

+ Operating equipment to safely handle chemicals, while ensuring the loading dock remains clean and organized.

+ Communicating professionally with management, colleagues, and suppliers/vendors.

+ Following instructions carefully and seeking clarification when needed.

+ Demonstrating punctuality, reliability, and attention to detail.

+ Cleaning cages, equipment, water bottles, and food containers in the vivarium.

+ Performing janitorial maintenance of vivarium rooms and restocking supplies.

+ Conducting preventative maintenance of vivarium equipment and supplies.

+ Completing monthly sanitization of vivarium equipment and facilities.

+ Maintaining accurate records of supplies and equipment and restocking as necessary.

+ Taking on additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent technical certificate required.

+ A minimum of one year of experience in animal care is preferred.

Work Environment:

This position involves physical demands, including but not limited to:

+ Lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, pushing, pulling, and moving supplies and equipment.

+ Extended periods of walking and standing.

+ Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

+ Working in environments with potential noise and allergens.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
