Job Title: Water/Wastewater Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Civil Engineer with a robust experience in municipal water design or treatment, including culinary or sewer water treatment, to lead a team of three Engineers in Training (EITs) on various municipal water-related projects. The role involves designing projects for cities that ensure the provision of potable water, the disposal of wastewater and sewage, and the prevention of flood-related damage. The position also includes preparing environmental documentation for water resources, ensuring regulatory program compliance, managing data, conducting analysis, and performing fieldwork. Collaboration with city and state officials on different projects is essential.

Responsibilities

+ Lead and manage a team of three Engineers in Training (EITs) on municipal water projects.

+ Design and manage projects involving potable water provision, wastewater and sewage disposal, and flood damage prevention.

+ Prepare environmental documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory programs.

+ Conduct data management and analysis to support project objectives.

+ Engage in fieldwork to gather necessary data and insights.

+ Collaborate with city and state officials on project planning and execution.

Essential Skills

+ 4+ years of Civil Engineering experience with a focus on water treatment.

+ Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) certification.

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

+ Experience in hydraulic modeling and pipeline design.

+ Experience in designing domestic or industrial water or wastewater treatment plants.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with advanced facilities like sequencing batch reactors (SBR), membranes, lift stations, headworks, surge overflow basins, ultraviolet disinfection systems, aerobic digesters, sludge lagoons, or control buildings.

+ Experience with water modeling software.

Work Environment

The position is preferred to be in-office five days a week from 8 am to 5 pm, with overtime compensated at 1.5x the hourly rate. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects that impact citizens statewide. The company prioritizes a balanced workflow to ensure a standard 40-hour workweek, aligning with its core value of work-life balance. The position is available in four locations: Richfield, Nephi, Springville, and another city. Team leads are expected to have extensive leadership experience.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nephi, Utah.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00/hr.
