    Job Title: Controls Engineer Job Description

     

    We are seeking a motivated Controls Engineer to join a leader in product identification and traceability technology. This role involves working with a wide range of permanent, programmable laser, Pinstamp®, and Telescribe® Scribe Marking Systems used in manufacturing environments globally.

    Responsibilities

    + Design and develop control systems and applications, including PLC programming, HMI development, vision, and motion control systems, with limited assistance.

    + Assist with electrical design and robotics applications as needed.

    + Manage project installations, startups, and conduct factory assessment and site acceptance tests.

    + Provide customer training on system operations and functionality.

    + Support sales by estimating labor hours for project proposals.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in Siemens, Omron, HMI, PLC, Robotics, Fanuc, conveyor integration, automation, and programming PLC.

    + 3-5+ years of industry experience in PLC programming and HMI development.

    + Bachelor's degree in engineering (an Associate's degree is also acceptable).

    + Experience in commissioning and customer-facing roles.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with Cognex vision readers for machine vision applications.

    + Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical for creating electrical schematics and system designs.

    Work Environment

    Work in a team-oriented environment with about 15 engineers in a company of approximately 150 people. The position offers a flexible work-life balance with a hybrid schedule. Expect 10-15% travel, primarily to Kentucky and Michigan. The company values tenure and fosters a culture that avoids micromanagement.

    This is a Permanent position based out of CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
