    Job Title: Lab Technician

    Job Description

    The Laboratory Technician performs a variety of clinical lab tests and procedures across multiple disciplines including Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Serology, Microbiology, and Spirometry. This role also involves performing phlebotomy for patients ranging from 0-21.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct lab tests in various areas such as Chemistry, Hematology, and Serology.

    + Record and document lab results, with a focus on critical or abnormal values.

    + Perform phlebotomy procedures, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks.

    + Prepare and label specimens for external lab processing.

    + Maintain lab equipment and perform routine quality control.

    + Manage inventory and ensure supplies are restocked.

    + Assist or cross-train with Medical Assistants as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in laboratory disciplines such as Chemistry, Serology, Urinalysis, Hematology, Microbiology, and Spirometry.

    + Experience with venipuncture and lab equipment operation.

    + Ability to document lab results accurately.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + High School Diploma required.

    + 1+ year of experience within a medical office or lab setting required.

    + CPR certification required.

    + Medical Assistant certification preferred.

    + Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

    Work Environment

    This position is 100% onsite in a medical office setting. The shift is Monday from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Tuesday to Friday from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and every other Saturday from 7:30 am to 12:00 pm.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Royal Palm Beach, Florida.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $23901.15 - $30181.06/yr.
