•RF Engineering Technician

We are seeking a skilled RF Engineering Technician to join our team in Farmingdale, NY.

This hands-on role involves repairing and testing complex electronic equipment, including RF and microwave components.

You’ll work closely with production, test, field service, and engineering teams to ensure equipment meets performance standards.

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Schedule: 9/80 Work Week (Nine-hour days with alternating Fridays off)

Key Responsibilities

+ Repair semi-complex electronic equipment such as printed circuit boards, multiplexing systems, and amplifiers

+ Troubleshoot equipment using diagnostic tests to identify operational failures

+ Reconstruct or replace defective parts and adjust mechanical components

+ Review engineering change notices related to equipment design and operation

+ Align, adjust, and calibrate equipment per specifications

+ Apply coatings or paint to equipment components as needed

+ Test equipment to ensure compliance with documented performance standards

+ Maintain accurate records of repairs, calibrations, and tests in a computer database

+ Provide technical support to internal departments during product investigations

+ Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Qualifications

+ Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics or equivalent experience

+ 1–3 years of experience as a repair technician

+ Strong troubleshooting skills with RF and microwave components

+ Proficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other test equipment

+ Skilled in the use of hand tools

+ Experience testing and troubleshooting electronic components

Preferred Skills

+ Experience testing circuits

+ Familiarity with engineering documentation and change notices

+ Knowledge of electrical engineering principles

Work Environment

+ Manufacturing floor setting with designated work benches and testing chambers

+ Dedicated bench for individual tasks; occasional work in chambers depending on test requirements

+ Collaborative team environment with support from leads and supervisors

+ Training provided for continued learning and development

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
