Job Title: Site Safety Manager
Job Description
As a Site Safety Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all personnel on site. Your day begins with understanding the day's activities based on lookaheads and planning, followed by a thorough site inspection to identify any changes or hazards. Your responsibilities will extend from morning preparations to end-of-day evaluations, ensuring safety protocols are meticulously followed and maintained.
Responsibilities
+ Understand and plan daily activities based on 2-3 week lookaheads.
+ Conduct site inspections at the start of the day to identify any changes or hazards.
+ Verify safety of fall protection devices and ensure proper site lighting.
+ Ensure access and egress locations are safe and unobstructed.
+ Account for and maintain fire extinguishers and proper signage.
+ Review and comment on PTPs for completion and distribute as necessary.
+ Lead and observe safety meetings and equipment inspections.
+ Receive and review daily safety forms, ensuring accuracy and completion.
+ Conduct continuous site walkthroughs to ensure safety plans are followed.
+ Monitor housekeeping and general site conditions, especially with nearby trades.
+ Ensure safety equipment like extinguishers, AED, and eye wash stations are functional.
+ Complete and upload daily and weekly safety inspections into Procore.
+ Conduct end-of-day site walk to ensure safety for overnight crews and emergency services.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 5 years in construction safety management with at least 3 years as a Site Safety Manager.
+ Proficient understanding of OSHA 30 regulations and site safety protocols.
+ Strong background in electrical safety and hazard identification.
+ Ability to lead and conduct effective safety meetings.
+ Strong organizational skills and proficiency in EHS and compliance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ BCSP certification is preferred.
+ Experience in data center safety management and electrical safety.
Work Environment
The work schedule is flexible, with the current team following a pattern of 10 days on followed by 4 days off. The environment demands a high degree of safety awareness and adherence to safety protocols, with daily and weekly inspections being a critical component of site operations.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Abilene, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
