Job Title: 2nd Shift CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated CNC Machinists for our large machine shop located in Santa Ana, CA. This role is for the 2nd shift, running from 1:00pm to 9:30pm with overtime available as well. Pay will be based on experience and between $25-$32 an hour (can be higher with experience).

The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating various CNC mills, lathes, and manual machines in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

+ Set up CNC lathes, mills, manual machines, and inspection equipment for production jobs efficiently to support a fast-paced environment.

+ Maintain and update setup procedures for critical processes.

+ Work from blueprints, job routings, and tooling instructions to maintain close tolerances.

+ Use computer skills to transfer programs to various CNC machines.

+ Inspect parts to ensure they meet both dimensional and visual requirements.

+ Complete all required documentation, including part measurements and shop floor paperwork.

+ Train and mentor less experienced machinists, particularly in machine setup.

+ Operate more than one machine when cycle time permits.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC lathes and mills, particularly with experience on Brother, Haas, and Mazak machines.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and tooling instructions.

+ Strong computer skills for transferring CNC programs.

+ Experience in inspecting parts using calipers and micrometers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Willingness to learn and grow within the role.

+ Familiarity with measuring tools and ability to perform light setups.

+ Experience in writing or editing machine programs is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $72800.00/yr.
