Industrial Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities:
+ Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues on industrial equipment.
+ Perform basic PLC diagnostics and troubleshooting.
+ Install, inspect, and maintain equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, compressors, and packaging machinery.
+ Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
+ Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, feeler gauges) to ensure tight tolerances.
+ Operate machine shop tools (lathe, drill press, shaper) to fabricate or repair parts.
+ Perform rigging operations and calculate working loads for ropes, chains, and cables.
+ Wire and troubleshoot 3-phase motors and work safely with up to 480 volts.
+ Conduct field measurements, prepare sketches, parts lists, and purchase requisitions.
+ Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inspections.
+ Analyze wear and timing issues, reassemble and calibrate machines for optimal performance.
+ Recognize mechanical defects through touch, sight, and sound.
+ Perform refrigeration system maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
+ Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist in training junior technicians.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or GED; technical certification preferred.
+ 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
+ Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
+ Familiarity with PLC systems and basic programming.
+ Ability to read meters and electrical schematics.
+ Experience with gearboxes, pumps, and high-voltage systems.
+ Knowledge of refrigeration systems is a plus.
+ Excellent communication and documentation skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
