    Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk

    Job Description

    The Shipping & Receiving Clerk plays a vital role in managing the logistics of material handling. This position is responsible for administering necessary paperwork for truck drivers, including creating and printing bill of ladings, obtaining trucker signatures, and scanning documents into the management system as applicable. The clerk will also manage incoming materials by creating receivers, entering data into the computer system, preparing material identification tags, and ensuring accuracy by physically tagging materials. Additionally, the clerk will monitor inventory levels, generate open order reports, and produce shipment packing lists.

    Responsibilities

    + Administer paperwork for truck drivers, including bill of ladings and obtaining signatures.

    + Create receivers for incoming materials and enter data into the appropriate computer system.

    + Prepare material identification tags and ensure they match the material.

    + Identify inventory shortages and pull work orders for stock replenishment.

    + Utilize computer systems to generate open order reports and shipment packing lists.

    + Handle issues related to shipping and inventory management.

    Essential Skills

    + High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

    + 1-3 years of experience operating a forklift; overhead crane experience is a plus.

    + Proficiency in basic math and general computer programs.

    + Detail-oriented with the ability to inspect materials for quality conformance using measuring devices and drawings.

    + Experience with inventory management using barcodes.

    + Proficiency in ERP systems, data entry, and Microsoft Office.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with overhead cranes is a significant advantage.

    + Knowledge of SAP, packing, and pallet jack operations is preferred.

    + Skills in material handling, RF scanners, order selection, and warehouse inventory management.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a clean and organized shop environment that is not climate-controlled. Utilize a variety of technologies and equipment, including ERP systems, RF scanners, and material handling tools.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rock Hill, South Carolina.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
