    Description

    Robert Half Lexington is looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Clerk to join a team in Georgetown, Kentucky. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position that offers an excellent opportunity to grow your skills in dispatch operations and logistics coordination.     Responsibilities:

    • Oversee third-shift dispatch operations, ensuring timely and efficient coordination of shipments.

    • Input and maintain accurate data in logistics systems to track shipments and schedules.

    • Communicate with freight carriers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues.

    • Provide exceptional customer service in a call center environment, addressing inquiries and concerns related to shipping and receiving.

    • Collaborate with the logistics and distribution team to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.

    • Monitor and manage shipping schedules to ensure deadlines are met.

    • Handle documentation for shipping and receiving processes, maintaining compliance with company policies.

    • Assist in troubleshooting logistical challenges and providing solutions to meet operational goals.

    • Support weekend overtime operations as needed to ensure seamless dispatch functions.

     

    Requirements • Proven experience in dispatching within the logistics industry.

     

    • Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.

    • Familiarity with freight carriers and logistics operations.

    • Previous experience in a call center customer service role.

    • Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and distribution processes.

    • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

    • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime.
