    Description

    We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our client’s team on a temp-to-hire basis. This position emphasizes accrual accounting and account reconciliations, and is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The role provides the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all facets of the accounting cycle while working toward a long-term placement.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Prepare and post accrual journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance

    + Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end account reconciliations

    + Analyze and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts

    + Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

    + Support audit requests by providing documentation and schedules

    + Maintain organized accounting records and documentation

    + Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure proper accounting treatment

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

    + 2+ years of staff accounting experience (emphasis on accruals and reconciliations required)

    + Strong knowledge of GAAP and accrual-based accounting

    + Proficiency with accounting software (NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar)

    + Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups a plus)

    + Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

    + Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
