• Critical Environment Technician Training Program

    TEKsystems (Boydton, VA)


    TEKsystems is hosting a training program for our client whose focusing on bringing more talent to their Critical Environment. This program will be remote for a couple weeks and then sit onsite in Boydton, VA and/or South Hill, VA. Looking for individuals that have a variety of exposure to trades work. Ideally within larger than residential environments. Any f amiliarity with HVAC, UPS, generators, BMS, Construction, Electrical is preferred. Working in environments that consists of more that 480 V would be a nice to have. Open to any and all years of experience.     Data Center Critical Environment

    Responsibilities

    • Operations & Maintenance: Oversee critical systems (electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety), conduct inspections and repairs

    • Client & Vendor Coordination: Liaise with stakeholders, ensure safety and quality

    • Infrastructure Support: Assist with server installations, upgrades, and disaster recovery

    • Reporting: Maintain logs and provide updates to management

    Qualifications

    • For entry to high level candidates seeking a new career in the Data Center industry

    • Not a must have but some experience in mission-critical environments (data centers, hospitals, etc.)

    • Familiarity with HVAC, UPS, generators, BMS, Construction, Electrical

    • Physical capability for emergency response

    • Must be okay lifting 50 pounds or climbing ladders

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred but not a must have

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
