Job Title Truck Driver II
Location Warrington, PA, US
Position Summary
Responsible for transporting and delivering a variety of products. Responsible for the safety and inspection of the vehicle before, during and after operation. May be responsible for loading and unloading shipments. Handles special projects, as assigned.
Essential Functions
+ Experienced in driving Road Tractors with manual transmissions with various transmission designs: IE: 8 speed, 13 speed and 18 speed
+ Fluent in pre-trip/post trip inspections, maintaining driving logs (manual and app. based)
+ Experienced with hauling trailers of various lengths: 16’ Mudhens, flatbeds, Grate Dane, Kaufman DT-35 & Shan-gra-la, Dorsey Copp-S/drop deck/steel flatbed
+ Ability to navigate Road Tractors with trailers on highways, temporary roadways/bridges and stone construction roads
+ Perform a variety of direct labor type tasks associated with individual project assignments
+ Loading/unloading of environmental matting products in both wooden and composite material designs
+ Knowledgeable in all aspects of environmental & sedimentation (E&S) controls including the installation of silt sox and silt fences, timber mat and composite mat installation
+ Gathering of project materials, cleaning equipment
+ Safely/effectively operates small/light mechanical equipment including but not limited to Toro dingo’s, blowers, weed eaters, mowers, zero turn tractors, stump grinders
+ Proficient in the operation of wheel loaders, dozers, excavators, track loaders, straw mulchers, skid steers
+ Use of hand tools, power tools such as grinders, drills, circular saws
+ Provides direct support to senior employees and project leads: is capable of accepting a high degree of delegation from foreman and leads Installation of Road Construction (RC) entrances
+ Installation of stone roadways
+ Installation of wooden and composite matting
+ Reporting of and or repairs of equipment that requires service and or maintenance
+ Land restoration to preconstruction condition
+ OSHA 10 or OSHA 30-hour safety training
+ Snow support: plowing, snow blower operation and or shoveling
Flatbed experience preferred
Minimum of five (5) years of CDL-A driving experience
Education & Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or educational equivalent. 3 years of experience. Valid driving license required. Advanced knowledge of regulations for the transportation of products and materials being transported. Appropriate licensing from the proper regulatory authority.
