Role Profile

**Position:** Driver

**Job Location:** Norwalk, CA

**Job Type:** Full-Time

**Status:** Non-Exempt

Summary of the Role

The primary function of this role is to support the logistical needs of the Branch.

Responsibilities

+ Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures.

+ Delivers all branch products to customers.

+ Receives incoming shipments into inventory, posts in online system and places items in warehouse.

+ Ships items to customers and processes internal transfers between branches.

+ Associate is responsible for cleanliness and order of warehouse. Uses a forklift, pallet jack and other tools to accomplish tasks.

+ Perform other duties in Shipping & Receiving; pulling orders and preparing orders for shipments.

+ Perform other duties as trained and qualified for.

Skills and Abilities

+ This position requires mechanical inclination.

+ Must have basic computer skills including, MS Word, Excel, Internet and Email.

+ Possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact with customers, and team-members in a professional manner.

+ Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

+ Requires a proficiency in math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in units of measure.

+ Additionally, must be able to perform calculations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.

Minimum Qualifications

+ Must be 21 years of age or older

+ A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

+ 1-3 years of related warehousing or production experience

+ A high school diploma or GED

+ Reliable transportation is a must

+ Ability to work overtime, as required

+ Ability to work nights and weekends, as required

+ Ability to pull, push, grasp, bend, lift and carry up to 50lbs independently on a repeated basis.

+ Ability to consistently move throughout the facility during the full workday

+ Ability to comprehend work instruction and safety procedures, written or verbally

+ Ability to count and measure accurately

+ Background checks and drug screening may be required (by Company, Customer or DOT requirements in working on-site and operating equipment as required or permitted by law)

Preferred Qualifications

+ Industrial setting experience

+ Valid TWIC card, a plus

+ B2B Delivery experience desired.
