Special Education Teacher (EC Resource Teacher)
Position Summary
Seeking a passionate and qualified Special Education Teacher to support students with disabilities in grades K–12. This role focuses on providing specialized instruction in a resource room setting and through inclusive practices in general education classrooms. You’ll work closely with general education staff and rotating teaching assistants to ensure student success.
Key Responsibilities
+ Deliver individualized and small-group instruction in a resource room.
+ Support inclusion of students with disabilities in general education settings.
+ Collaborate with general education teachers and EC staff.
+ Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations.
+ Maintain accurate documentation and student records.
Minimum Requirements
+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred).
+ Active NC EC General Curriculum (K–12) license (required).
+ Minimum of one year teaching experience (preferred).
+ State Teacher Certification in one or more of the following:
+ Standard Elementary Teaching
+ Standard Secondary Teaching
+ Standard Special Teaching
+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) (preferred).
