Position Overview

We are seeking adedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team indelivering high-quality educational services to students with special needsfrom kindergarten through grade 12. This role requires a collaborative spiritand a commitment to individualized instruction, tutorial support, andconsultation with general education staff to ensure inclusive and effectivelearning environments.

Key Responsibilities

+ Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs

+ Provide direct instruction and support to students with diverse learning challenges

+ Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student success

+ Maintain accurate records and comply with all reporting requirements

+ Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives

Minimum Requirements

+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)

+ Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract, or district regulations

+ Minimum of one year experience in a teaching environment (preferred)

+ State Teacher Certification (preferred types):

+ Standard Elementary Teaching

+ Standard Secondary Teaching

+ Standard Special Teaching

+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) (preferred)

+ Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice

+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)

+ TB questionnaire, PPD test, or chest x-ray (if applicable)

+ Current health certificate (as required by contract or state regulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
