Introduction
We are seeking a Manager-level Consultant to lead grid modernization initiatives and AMI 2.0 data intelligence and AI solution development for energy and utility clients. This role is ideal for a strategic and technically adept leader who thrives in collaborative environments and is passionate about transforming the utility sector through data-driven solutions.
You will be responsible for leading and working within multidisciplinary teams to generate actionable insights that improve grid operations, enhance customer experiences, and support the integration of distributed energy resources (DERs), including electric vehicles and solar installations across residential, commercial, and industrial contexts.
Your role and responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
* Lead consulting projects focused on AMI 2.0 analytics, DER integration, and grid modernization for utility clients.
* Design and develop AI/ML-based analytics and intelligent solutions to enhance grid performance and customer engagement.
* Collaborate with IT, OT, and data science teams to ensure seamless integration of data platforms and analytical tools.
* Define solution architectures and lead system integration efforts across cloud and on-premise environments.
* Support clients in adopting modern data platforms (e.g., Power BI, SAP Analytics, Snowflake, AWS, Azure) and hyperscaler technologies.
* Serve as a trusted advisor to utility clients by translating complex data and operational challenges into practical, scalable solutions.
This Job can be performed from anywhere in the US.
Required technical and professional expertise
* 10+ years of experience in energy, utilities, or related consulting roles with increasing levels of responsibility.
* Strong understanding of IT/OT data convergence and utility operations.
* Proven experience with data marts, data platforms, and system integration.
Familiarity with utility operations, AMI systems, and DER ecosystems
