    GNC Engineer

    Job Description

    As a GNC Engineer, you will play a crucial role in coordinating between customer support and R&D, focusing on feature requests and facilitating bug reporting. You will collect, analyze, and evaluate preliminary data for hardware updates, collaborating with cross-functional teams to contribute to design reviews and system documentation.

    Responsibilities

    + Coordinate between customer support and R&D to focus on feature requests and facilitate bug reporting.

    + Collect, analyze, and evaluate preliminary data for hardware updates.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams.

    + Contribute to design reviews and system documentation.

    + Analyze and integrate new sensors with a focus on flight control-related sensors such as IMU, GNSS, and pressure sensors.

    + Devise integration and sanity checking concepts.

    + Develop, implement, and test algorithms for navigation and control systems in line with project requirements.

    + Conduct simulation and analysis to verify GNC models and system performance under different operating conditions.

    + Improve performance through novel sensor calibration techniques.

    Essential Skills

    + Practical experience developing GNC designs for flight systems.

    + Experience in writing code in C/C++ or Rust.

    + Proficiency with Matlab and Simulink.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + UAV or Robotics experience.

    + Exceptional ability or demonstrated history of working on successful projects.

    Work Environment

    The work environment includes collaboration with cross-functional teams and involves the use of technologies such as Matlab, Simulink, and project execution tools. The role may involve working with robotics and UAV systems.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Moorpark, California.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $96.00/hr.
