    Job Title: CNC Machinist

    Job Description

    An essential manufacturer of locomotive parts is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to program, set up, and operate CNC machines for producing locomotive components. This role involves working with CNC horizontal and vertical milling centers and CNC lathes using drawings or blueprints to ensure precise and efficient production.

    Responsibilities

    + Program, set up, and operate CNC horizontal and vertical milling centers and CNC lathes from drawings or blueprints.

    + Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.

    + Stop machines to remove finished work pieces or to change tooling, setup, or work piece placement according to required machining sequences.

    + Check to ensure that work pieces are properly lubricated and cooled during machine operation.

    + Transfer commands from servers to CNC modules using computer network links.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.

    + Experience with drill presses, lathes, grinders, and mills.

    + Programming skills for CNC machines.

    + Familiarity with FANUC, FADAL, and/or SIEMENS controllers is preferred.

    + Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

    This is a Contract position based out of Duryea, Pennsylvania.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
