Sterilization Technician – Dental Center Operations

What You’ll Do

As a Sterilization Technician, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring that dental instruments are properly cleaned, sanitized, and ready for use. You’ll help maintain a safe and efficient environment by following strict infection control protocols and supporting the clinical team with timely and accurate instrument preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Instrument Care & Sterilization: Clean, sanitize, and organize dental instruments to meet the highest standards of hygiene and readiness.

+ Compliance & Safety: Follow OSHA guidelines and infection control protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

+ Cycle Management: Sterilize instruments promptly upon receipt and monitor sterilization cycles using tracking systems.

+ Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of spore testing and sterilization processes.

+ Inventory Support: Keep supply orders updated and organized to support smooth daily operations.

+ Team Communication: Report equipment or supply issues to the Lead Sterilization Tech and respond to provider requests for instruments and handpieces.

+ Collaboration: Work effectively with team members to meet departmental goals and support the Dental Center’s mission.

What You Bring

Must-Have Skills:

+ Experience with sterilization, packaging, and infection control procedures

+ Familiarity with inventory systems and maintaining inventory accuracy

+ Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently

+ Comfortable working with medical and dental instruments

+ HSPA Certification preferred

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
