**Description** The Associate Project Engineer will provide expert technical capabilities and leadership to engineering design efforts for Design-only and/or EPC projects. Design-only projects will encompass engineering design work for traditional design-bid-build projects. Design-Build/EPC projects will encompass all design, procurement and construction management activities.
+ Responsible for overall engineering design efforts for Design-only and EPC projects.
+ Manage final engineering man-hour budgets.
+ Develop and implement Quality Programs for Engineering Designs.
+ Responsible for overseeing quality and completeness reviews of engineering deliverables.
+ Direct and manage field engineering services.
+ Responsible for making critical decisions regarding engineering design schedule, budget and progress measurement functions with project controls professionals.
+ Responsible for leading the preparation and submittal of client change orders.
+ Direct the engineering preparation of subcontract plan and subcontractor bid and award packages.
+ Develop and manage turnover and start-up plans.
+ Develop and ensure vendor and fabrication shop progress for deliverables.
+ Responsible for the preparation of monthly client status reports.
+ Develop and maintain effective relationships with existing and potential clients, customers and contractors in order to develop business.
+ Responsible for sales pursuits and proposal development.
+ Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.
+ Performs other duties as assigned
+ Complies with all policies and standards
Qualifications
+ Bachelor Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university and 13 years of project engineering experience overseeing design efforts for Design-only and EPC projects required.
+ Expert knowledge in degreed engineering discipline. Basic knowledge in all other engineering disciplines.
+ Strong facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem solving skills.
+ Highly effective communicator with clear and concise writing and presentation skills.
+ High level of attention to detail.
+ Proficient computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).
+ Ability to develop and manage workplans, schedules and budgets and provide leadership to a diverse project team a plus.
+ Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred.
