**ADP is hiring a Director of Communications.** In this role, we are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and highly visible professional to lead our communications strategy and execution across multiple channels, audiences, and platforms for Major Accounts and our mid-sized clients. This leader will help elevate the voice of our organization, partnering directly with senior executives to craft presentations and messaging that inspire action and reflect our values and brand reputation.
In this position, the Director of Communications will oversee a talented, multi-location team responsible for internal and external communications, internal events, multimedia content, and design management. This individual must be a visionary strategist; must be proactive and must be an involved leader able to elevate our communications function while ensuring flawless, professional execution.
Key Responsibilities
+ Executive Communications: Write compelling messaging, scripts, and presentations for senior leadership and executives to drive engagement and alignment.
+ Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a communications team across multiple locations, fostering collaboration, innovation, accountability, and increasing levels of high-caliber work.
+ Integrated Communications: Partner with marketing, sales, legal, corporate communications, and project leaders to create innovative communication options that integrate messaging, graphics, and branding to inspire associate reaction. Leverage various communication vehicles to create energy, momentum, and awareness with associates and, when applicable, with clients.
+ Governance & Approval Processes: Coordinate the multi-step review and approval processes and seek legal review when applicable for a wide variety of communications.
+ Events & Production: Direct the planning and production of high-visibility internal events, including town halls, leader summits, and special programs. Ensure events are executed with professionalism and engagement while adhering to time and budgetary guidelines.
+ Multimedia & Design Management: Lead the development of multimedia content (video, digital, graphic, and interactive) that enhances storytelling and strengthens brand presence and positive outcomes. Partner with multimedia managers to maintain consistency and creativity with quality.
+ Measurement & Insights: Leverage analytics and industry best practices to evaluate communication effectiveness, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
+ Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field preferred
+ 8–10 years of progressive leadership experience in communications
+ Proven experience writing for and advising senior executives, including scripting and presentation development.
+ Strong background in multimedia management (video, digital, design) and event production.
+ Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution.
+ Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and visual—with a keen eye for detail, consistency, and brand alignment.
+ Ability to operate with discretion, adaptability, and resilience in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
+ Effective analytical and operational skills.
+ Effective PC skills, including Microsoft Suite.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:** Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:
+ Knowledge of advanced concepts, principles, practices and techniques of writing and developing communication and documentation materials.
+ Knowledge and experience (to include graphic design experience) in Adobe Creative Suite.
+ Knowledge and experience using Eloqua, Lyris and Salesforce Marketing Cloud communication platforms.
Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity or commissions. The compensation for this role is USD $98,000.00 - USD $198,800.00 / Year*
*Actual compensation will not be less than the applicable minimum wage or minimum exempt salary requirement under federal, state and local laws.
